A few more quick holiday shots! This picturesque tarn is found at the start (or finish depending on your perspective) of the St James walkway, a couple of minutes south of the Lewis Pass summit, just off state highway 7.
It’s a hidden gem, well worth a visit and a nice place to stop for a break on your journey north or south, plenty of parking space.
A great wee loop track there also and some beautiful beech forest. Or go a bit further and take a wander along the St James walkway.
