We were treated to a very active lightning storm earlier on this month. Perhaps not that thrilling for those living in tropical areas and used to thunderstorms and such like, but pretty exciting for the rest of us.
The storm tracked right over the top of us (at times looking like a scene from an alien invasion movie) and we watched multiple lightning strikes land (the sequence of strikes above were taken from an HD -24 fps- movie and a couple were consecutive frames), a few of which caused fires. Fantastic contrast of colours in the sky, beautiful vivid blues and sunset once the storm had past.
