Carrying on the exploration of nature’s simple forms up close, this week’s image of a flax was taken in the morning sun. The black background results from, ISO, aperture and shutter settings and taking advantage of the limited dynamic range of digital cameras. So, no – its not a black card or something :). Not sure if I’m completely sold on the post processing, will see if it grows on me.
I like the simplicity of the form and am always reminded of the part Flax has played in NZ culture and industry.
