This year the Nelson Light Festival had a new name and a new central focus for installations – Nelson’s historic Church Hill/Piki mai.
This video captures some of the activity around the iconic Church Steps which were alive with people and projections.
Good times were had soaking up the vibe and shooting footage during this year’s Festival. There may be a few short videos focussing on different aspects of Te Ramaroa coming.
Some Te Ramaroa images here. More Te Ramaroa videos.
The installation projecting words onto the steps is ‘The Shoreward Surge of the Sea’ by Greta + Karl.
The arrows at the top of the steps form the installation ‘Nowhere’ by Angus Muir.
Also by Angus Muir is the ‘Neon Ropes’ installation lighting up the tree.
‘Close Encounters of the Chandelier Kind’ by Community Art Works can be seen amongst the trees to the right of the Stairs.
